Felting.

Wet felting:
This is where I took some wool fibers, put them on a piece of bubble wrap (can use something similar) and started to drizzle warm soapy water over it. Once this was done I rolled it up and started to continuously roll for 3-4 minutes; I would then unroll it and rotate the wool fibres that have began to combine to a piece of felt 90 degrees, re roll it and roll for another 3-4 minutes; this is to be repeated at least 4 times or until the fibers have combined and made a successful thick (or thin) piece of felt. As you can see I have used wool fibers that link to my projects colour scheme. The image to the left shows the wool fibers I chose for this process and the image to the  right  shows the piece of felt the fibers made. Once I had produced my piece of felt I wrapped it in cotton and placed it in a bowl of boiling water to stiffen.

This image below shows the start of another piece of wet felting. As you can see I have used colours that again link to my colour scheme. I have placed pieces of wool fibers in lines that match my stained glass sheets.

Needle Felting:
I used the felt I made shown above for this. Needle felting is like it sounds you first place your piece of felt onto a sponge to avoid damaging any surfaces; you then get a felting needle (extremely sharp so be careful) and with extra wool fibres you needle/combine them together with a stabbing action. This helps to create a pattern as shown in the images below.
